Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • Trim the stem ends from 1 pound fresh green beans and cut any large beans in half so they are uniform in size.
  • Place the trimmed green beans in a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste), and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste). Toss until the beans are evenly coated.
  • Transfer the seasoned green beans to the air fryer basket in a single layer. If they won’t fit without overlapping, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Air-fry at 380°F for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring the beans gently once halfway through the cooking time (about 4–5 minutes) to promote even browning.
  • When the beans are crisp-tender and lightly browned to your liking, remove them from the air fryer.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately with lemon wedges; squeeze lemon over the green beans if desired.
