  • Start by trimming the ends off 1 pound of fresh green beans. Rinse them thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes. Place the green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • Once cooked, transfer the green beans back to the mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over them while still hot. Toss gently to combine.
  • Serve warm as a delicious side dish alongside grilled meats, roasted chicken, or vegetarian meals.
