For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 to 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Start by rinsing the raw shrimp under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the avocado oil, minced garlic, ground paprika, sea salt, and fresh lemon juice. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  • Add the cleaned shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss gently to ensure each shrimp is evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the marinated shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • The shrimp are done when they turn pink and opaque. If they need more time, continue to air fry in one-minute increments until fully cooked.
  • Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve them immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze shrimp in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring to a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to retain texture.
