Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Mushrooms

  • 8 ounces cremini or chestnut mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 sprig rosemary finely chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Begin by rinsing the mushrooms under cold water to remove any dirt. Gently pat them dry with a paper towel. If the mushrooms are large, slice them in half or into quarters for more even cooking.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rinsed mushrooms with the vegetable oil, low sodium soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the mushrooms are well coated.
  • Step 3: Remove the leaves from the sprig of rosemary and finely chop them. Stir the chopped rosemary into the seasoned mushrooms.
  • Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Step 5: Place the seasoned mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Step 6: After about 10 minutes, check the mushrooms. If you desire a more crispy texture, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 7: Once done, remove the mushrooms from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For an extra depth of flavor, try adding minced garlic or onion powder to the seasoning. Experiment with different herbs like thyme or parsley for a unique twist.
