Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups milk (warm) 2% milk recommended
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 stick unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 apples (peeled, cored, and cut into small chunks)

For Dusting

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Step 2: In another bowl, mix together the warm milk, egg, melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until well combined.
  • Step 3: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold together, being careful not to overmix.
  • Step 4: Fold in the apple chunks into the batter.
  • Step 5: Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat, grease lightly, and pour about ΒΌ cup of batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  • Step 6: Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry ingredients. Use fresh apples for the best taste.
