  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the chicken wings. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, tossing to ensure they are well-coated.
  • Place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet and arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack.
  • Bake the wings for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through.
  • While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the buffalo wing sauce until well combined.
  • Once the wings are done baking, remove them and toss them in a large mixing bowl with the buffalo sauce.
  • Transfer the sauced wings back to the wire rack and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, pat them dry before seasoning.
  • Let wings marinate for 30 minutes for deeper flavor.
  • Use garlic powder for added depth in seasoning.
