Oven mitts
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even baking.
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a large mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and red chili flakes. Toss the dried wings in the seasoning.
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the seasoned wings in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
While the wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, then mix in parmesan cheese and parsley.
Once the wings are golden brown, remove from the oven and toss in the garlic parmesan sauce.
Serve immediately while hot and crispy, garnished with additional parsley and parmesan if desired.
- Make sure to dry the wings well for the crispiest skin.
- Use a wire rack on the baking sheet for better air circulation.
- Leave space between wings to avoid steaming.
- Baking at high temperature is key for rendering fat and crisping skin.
