- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 ounce ginger root peeled and roughly chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
Start by peeling the ginger root and chopping it roughly. Also, chop your onion into small pieces. Having all your ingredients prepped will make the blending process much smoother.
In your blender or food processor, combine the chopped onion, chopped ginger root, ground ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
Secure the lid on your blender and blend the ingredients on high until the mixture is smooth. You may want to stop and scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well combined.
Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors as needed. If you prefer a bit more tang, add a splash more rice vinegar. For additional sweetness, consider adding a touch of honey or sugar.
Pour the freshly made ginger dipping sauce into a sealable container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week, making it easy to have on hand for your meals.
