Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Tongs
  • Plate

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, thyme, and cayenne. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  • Take the chicken tenderloins and pat them dry with paper towels. Rub the spice blend generously over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  • Place your large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Let the oil heat until it shimmers.
  • Carefully add the seasoned chicken tenderloins to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a dark, charred crust forms.
  • Using tongs, flip the chicken bites and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, transfer the chicken bites to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve them warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of cayenne in the spice blend.
  • Let the chicken marinate in the spices for at least 30 minutes before cooking for deeper flavor.
  • Always preheat your skillet before adding the chicken for a perfect sear.
