Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sea salt, and baking soda. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cherries until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
