Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 pound ground chicken, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon ground sage, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and 1 tablespoon honey. Mix with a spoon or your hands until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Using your hands, divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape each into a patty. Place the patties on a tray or plate, cover, and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot.
  • Place up to four patties in the skillet without adding any other ingredients. Cook the patties 4–5 minutes on the first side without moving them.
  • Flip the patties once and cook 4–5 minutes on the second side, until they are browned and no pink remains in the center (or until an internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C is reached).
  • Remove the cooked patties to a plate, let the skillet return to temperature if needed, and repeat steps 4–5 with the remaining patties.
  • Let cooked patties rest 2–3 minutes before serving.
