Ingredients
  

Canned Chickpeas

  • 1 can (15oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

Flavorings

  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chickpeas - Start by draining and rinsing 1 can of chickpeas (about 15oz).
  • Step 2: Blend the Ingredients - In a food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, ground cumin, and salt.
  • Step 3: Add Olive Oil - Drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil.
  • Step 4: Blend Until Smooth - Process the mixture until it’s smooth and creamy, adding water if needed.
  • Step 5: Taste and Adjust - Taste the hummus and adjust flavors as desired.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and serve with dippers.

Notes

For an ultra-smooth hummus, peel the chickpeas before blending. Chill the hummus for about an hour before serving for enhanced flavors.
