Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Baking Dish - Begin by lining a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later. This will ensure your fudge comes out smoothly without sticking.
  • Step 2: Melt the White Chocolate - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine ½ of the sweetened condensed milk (7 ounces), white chocolate chips, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 3: Add the Oreos - Once your white chocolate mixture is smooth, fold in half of the chopped Oreos. Spread this mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, creating the bottom layer of your Double Decker Oreo Fudge.
  • Step 4: Chill the First Layer - Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let the first layer set for about 15-20 minutes, or until it’s firm to the touch.
  • Step 5: Melt the Semi-Sweet Chocolate - In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the remaining ½ of the sweetened condensed milk (7 ounces) and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Repeat the melting process in 30-second intervals until completely smooth.
  • Step 6: Assemble Your Fudge - Once the semi-sweet chocolate mixture is ready, pour it over the chilled white chocolate layer. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  • Step 7: Top with Remaining Oreos - Sprinkle the remaining chopped Oreos on top of the semi-sweet chocolate layer. Gently press them in with the spatula to ensure they stick.
  • Step 8: Chill Again - Return the baking dish to the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
  • Step 9: Cut and Serve - Once your fudge is set, lift it out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut it into squares and serve. Enjoy the delicious layers of your Double Decker Oreo Fudge!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in a splash of vanilla extract.
  • Try adding chopped nuts for an extra crunch.
  • Swap Oreos for different sandwich cookies for a unique twist.
