  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage container

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Cream the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer or whisk until light and fluffy.
  • Add the salt, vanilla extract, and milk. Beat until thoroughly combined.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing on low speed or folding with a spatula to avoid a flour explosion.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and any optional mix-ins like nuts or sprinkles, folding gently until evenly distributed.
  • Taste the dough and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or milk.
  • Chill the dough for about 30 minutes if you prefer a firmer texture.
  • Scoop the cookie dough into a bowl or individual servings and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze portioned dough balls for up to 3 months for easy access.
  • For a firmer texture, chill the dough before serving.
