Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces dried pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or any type)

Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided

Garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic sliced

Seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Cheese

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Herbs

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the Pasta - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dried pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Stir occasionally.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce - Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Step 3: Combine Pasta and Sauce - Reserve ½ cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the rest. Add drained pasta to the skillet with garlic butter and mix until well coated.
  • Step 4: Add Seasoning and Cheese - Add remaining butter, black pepper, salt, and parmesan cheese. If dry, add reserved pasta water to create a creamy consistency. Toss until combined.
  • Step 5: Garnish and Serve - Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parmesan and parsley if desired.

Notes

Be cautious with the garlic to avoid burning. Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. You can customize with proteins or vegetables.
