Measuring Spoons
- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or use ribeye, strip steak, or another tender well-marbled cut)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter (1/2 stick), divided
- 4-5 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Start by trimming any excess fat from the steak. Cut the meat into bite-sized cubes, aiming for pieces that are roughly 1-inch in size. Season the steak pieces generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. It's essential to get your skillet hot enough to achieve a lovely sear on the steak bites.
Add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Allow them to cook without moving them for about 2-3 minutes. Flip them over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Once the steak bites are cooked, reduce the heat to medium and push them to one side of the skillet. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the empty side of the skillet along with the minced garlic. Stir the garlic in the melting butter for about 30 seconds, being careful not to let it burn.
Once the garlic is fragrant and the butter has melted, toss the steak bites in the garlic butter until they are well coated. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
Transfer the Garlic Butter Steak Bites to a serving platter and enjoy them while they’re hot!
- Allow the steak bites to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
- They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
- To reheat, warm them in a skillet over low heat, adding a little butter for extra flavor.
