Serving dish
- 8 cloves Garlic peeled and minced
- 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 4 cups Cooked rice cold
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt or more to taste
- ½ teaspoon Pepper or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons Green onions sliced, for garnish
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot enough to sizzle when you add the garlic.
Add the minced garlic to the hot oil. Stir it frequently and cook until golden brown and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the cold, cooked rice to the skillet. Break up any clumps with your spatula.
Sprinkle in the onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well, allowing the rice to absorb the flavors.
Once heated through, transfer to a serving dish and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
- Cold rice works best for frying; freshly cooked rice can become mushy.
- Adjust the garlic to your liking—feel free to add more!
- This dish pairs well with fried eggs, grilled meats, or hearty soups.
