Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large mixing bowl, season the wings with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, vegetable oil, ketchup, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add the seasoned wings to the marinade, ensuring each wing is well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top if available.
  • Arrange the marinated wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • In the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the wings with extra marinade.
  • Once baked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the wings overnight.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness.
  • Try grilling the wings for a smoky flavor.
