Start by rinsing the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Let it drain for a couple of minutes.
Transfer the rinsed rice to the Instant Pot. Add enough water to cover the rice by about ½ inch, then add salt and vegetable oil.
Secure the lid of the Instant Pot, ensuring the vent is in the “Sealing” position. Select the rice setting or manual pressure cook on high for 4-6 minutes.
Once cooking is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for about 10 minutes, then switch the vent to “Venting” to release any remaining pressure.
Open the Instant Pot carefully and fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains. Serve alongside your favorite dishes!
Notes
For added flavor, substitute some of the water with broth. You can also add spices or vegetables for variations.
