Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts

Marinade

  • 1.5 tablespoons shawarma seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt (Greek or plain natural)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Water

  • 1 cup water For cooking in the Instant Pot

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - Combine shawarma seasoning, yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, crushed garlic, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Step 2: Marinate the Chicken - Place chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or bowl, pour marinade over, seal, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 3: Set Up the Instant Pot - Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot.
  • Step 4: Cook the Chicken - Place marinated chicken in the Instant Pot, secure the lid, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes (15 minutes if frozen).
  • Step 5: Shred or Slice the Chicken - Remove chicken from the pot and shred or slice as desired.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Serve in pita, over rice, or in a salad with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne or paprika to the marinade. Marinate overnight for deeper flavor.
