Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 4-6 pieces Cube Steaks Tenderized beef cut

Vegetables

  • 1 pound Baby Potatoes Halved
  • 8 ounces Cremini Mushrooms Thickly sliced
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Sliced into half-moons

Liquids

  • 1 cup Beef Broth

Spices

  • ½ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Gather all your ingredients. Slice the onion, halve the baby potatoes, and slice the mushrooms. Season the cube steaks with salt and black pepper.
  • Step 2: Turn the Instant Pot to the sauté setting. Add oil and sauté the onions for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add mushrooms and sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Step 3: Push the vegetables to the sides and add the cube steaks to the center. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Step 4: Sprinkle cayenne pepper over the steaks, add halved potatoes, and pour in beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pot.
  • Step 5: Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes. Allow steam to release naturally for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Step 6: Remove the lid and serve the steak, mushrooms, and potatoes with some broth drizzled over the top.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the cube steaks beforehand. For thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water and stir in after cooking.
