  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 4 fillets skinless salmon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth low-sodium recommended
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan, grated
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Salmon - Start by patting the skinless salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with Kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and 2 teaspoons of dried Italian seasoning.
  • Step 2: Sear the Salmon - In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  • Step 3: Make the Sauce - In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 3 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Step 4: Thicken the Sauce - Sprinkle in 3 tablespoons of flour and whisk to combine, cooking for an additional minute. Gradually add 1 cup of chicken broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer.
  • Step 5: Add Cream and Cheese - Stir in ½ cup of heavy cream and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Step 6: Incorporate Sun-Dried Tomatoes - Add the drained sun-dried tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest to the sauce. Stir well to combine.
  • Step 7: Return the Salmon - Gently place the cooked salmon fillets back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Step 8: Garnish and Serve - Serve your Marry Me Salmon hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves for an aromatic finish. Pair with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt and a splash of milk.
  • Use low-sodium chicken broth to reduce sodium content.
  • Store cooked salmon and sauce separately in the fridge for up to 3 days.
