Cuisine American
- 1 lb sirloin steak cut into cubes
- 1 lb baby potatoes halved
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients
Step 2: Cook the Potatoes
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in your skillet over medium heat. Add the halved baby potatoes, cut side down, and season generously with salt and pepper. Cook undisturbed for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and tender. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Sear the Steak Cubes
Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and increase heat to medium-high. Add the steak cubes, season with salt and pepper, and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but juicy. Sear in batches if needed.
Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
Step 5: Combine and Finish Cooking
- Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure proper searing and crispy potatoes.
- Add garlic only after butter melts and stir constantly to avoid burning.
- Use baby potatoes or cut larger potatoes smaller for even cooking.
- Allow steak cubes to rest a few minutes after cooking for juiciness.
- Leftovers store well refrigerated up to 3 days or frozen up to 2 months.
