  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and vegetable oil until well blended. Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest.
  • Step 3: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Step 4: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Step 5: Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step 6: Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
