For the Guacamole:
- 3 each ripe avocados perfectly ripe
- 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons minced yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
- 1 each jalapeno seeded and minced
- 1 large clove garlic minced
- 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
Instructions:
Start by cutting the avocados in half and removing the pits. Scoop the green flesh into a mixing bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired level of creaminess—some like it chunky, while others prefer it smooth!
Into the bowl with the mashed avocados, add the lime juice, minced onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic.
Sprinkle in the kosher salt, ground cumin, and cayenne pepper. Mix everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed—add more lime juice for tang or more salt for flavor.
Transfer your guacamole to a serving bowl. For an extra touch, sprinkle a bit more cilantro on top or a slice of lime for garnish.
- Store guacamole in an airtight container to minimize browning.
- Press plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent oxidation.
- Consume within 1-2 days for the best flavor and freshness.
