Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Tea Kettle or Pot
  • Blender or Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brewed green tea chilled
  • 1 cup fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Brew and Chill the Green Tea

  • Use 2 cups of hot water and steep your green tea bags or loose leaves for about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Remove the tea leaves or bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before making your cooler.

Step 2: Prepare the Peaches

  • Wash and slice your fresh peaches to make about 1 cup of sliced peaches. For a smoother drink, puree the peaches with a blender or food processor; otherwise, chopped or sliced peaches add texture and flavor.

Step 3: Combine Ingredients

  • In a large pitcher or mixing glass, add the chilled green tea, sliced peaches, honey or agave syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Stir gently but thoroughly to combine, allowing the honey to dissolve completely. For more infused flavor, let the mixture sit in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 4: Serve Over Ice

  • Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the peach green tea mixture over the ice, distributing the peaches evenly. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint leaves for aroma and presentation.

Step 5: Enjoy Immediately

  • Enjoy fresh to savor the bright flavors and crisp texture of chilled tea, juicy peaches, and zesty lemon.

Notes

  • Use ripe peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the honey or agave syrup amount to your taste.
  • Store the cooler base (without ice) in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours for easy preparation.
  • Try sparkling water instead of some green tea for a fizzy variation.
  • Add edible floral water like rose or elderflower for a unique seasonal twist.
