Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or butter knife
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup minced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 loaf Italian or French bread halved lengthwise

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures your bread gets crispy and golden.
  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, olive oil, minced pepperoncini, grated Parmesan, garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Step 3: Slice the Italian or French bread loaf in half lengthwise and place the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  • Step 4: Spread the butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Step 5: Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter mixture is bubbly.
  • Step 6: Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Wrap leftovers tightly in foil or plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
  • Use vegan butter for a dairy-free option.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for extra spice!
