Equipment

  • High-Speed Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving glasses
  • Storage Containers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, oat, or coconut milk work well)
  • 1 cup non-dairy yogurt (plain or vanilla for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (or your favorite nut butter)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (plant-based if preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon cacao powder (for an extra chocolate kick)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (for added fiber and omega-3s)
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds (ground for better absorption)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (to enhance flavors)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but recommended)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (or frozen if out of season)
  • 4-5 fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • 1 cup frozen sweet cherries (for a cool, creamy texture)
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional, to brighten flavors)

Instructions

  • Gather Your Ingredients: Make sure all your ingredients are ready to go. This will make the blending process quick and easy.
  • Add the Base Ingredients: In your high-speed blender, combine the non-dairy milk and non-dairy yogurt. This will create a creamy base for your smoothie.
  • Incorporate the Nut Butter and Protein: Add in the almond butter and chocolate protein powder. These ingredients will make your smoothie satisfying and rich.
  • Mix in the Superfoods: Next, toss in the cacao powder, chia seeds, flax seeds, sea salt, and vanilla extract. Blend until everything is well combined.
  • Add the Fruits: Now, add the fresh raspberries, sliced strawberries, and frozen sweet cherries into the blender. The frozen cherries will give the smoothie a nice chill.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Blend everything on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, you can add a bit more non-dairy milk to reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste your smoothie and adjust the flavor if needed. If you’d like it sweeter, consider adding a splash of maple syrup or a few more berries.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Pour your Seriously Luscious Chocolate Cherry Smoothie into glasses and enjoy immediately! You can also top it with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a few fresh berries for an extra touch.

Notes

  • Prep ahead by measuring out dry ingredients in advance.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Feel free to customize the fruits based on your preference or seasonal availability.
