Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels Use high-quality kernels for the best results.
- 1/4 cup ghee For a rich flavor and perfect popping.
- 1 teaspoon sea salt Adjust to taste.
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1: Heat the Ghee - In your large pot, add the ghee and place it over medium heat. Allow the ghee to melt completely, covering the bottom of the pot.
Step 2: Test the Kernels - Drop 2-3 kernels into the pot and cover it with the lid. Wait for those kernels to pop to check if your ghee is hot enough.
Step 3: Add the Kernels - Once the test kernels pop, remove the lid and add the popcorn kernels to the pot. Quickly cover the pot again.
Step 4: Shake It Up - Gently shake the pot back and forth on the burner to distribute the heat and prevent burning. Continue until popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops.
Step 5: Remove from Heat - Once popping has almost completely stopped, carefully remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for a minute before removing the lid.
Step 6: Season & Serve - Transfer the fresh popcorn to a serving bowl, sprinkle with sea salt, and toss gently to coat. Enjoy!
