Taco Pizza Recipe (with Doritos!)

  • 1 poundpizza dough
  • 1 cupmild southwest salsa
  • 2 cupsmozzarella cheesegrated
  • 1/2 cupblack beans1 can drained
  • 1/2 poundtaco meatI used turkey
  • 1/2 cupcheddar cheesegrated
  • 1 1/2 cupsiceberg lettuceshredded
  • 2 wholeroma tomatoesdiced
  • cilantro
  • 1 cupDoritoscrushed
  • Bolthouse cilantro avocado dressing

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with the oven rack in the center position.
  • If your 1/2 pound taco meat is not already cooked, cook it in a skillet until no longer pink; set aside.
  • Stretch or roll the 1 pound pizza dough to fit a pizza pan or baking sheet and place it on the pan.
  • Spread 1 cup mild southwest salsa evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Drain the 1 can (1/2 cup) black beans and scatter them evenly over the salsa.
  • Evenly spread the 1/2 pound cooked taco meat over the beans.
  • Sprinkle 2 cups grated mozzarella and then 1/2 cup grated cheddar evenly over the pizza.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the bottom crust is golden brown.
  • While the pizza bakes, shred 1 1/2 cups iceberg lettuce, dice the 2 whole Roma tomatoes, chop cilantro, and crush 1 cup Doritos.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest 1–2 minutes. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and crushed Doritos. Drizzle Bolthouse cilantro avocado dressing over the top as desired.
  • Cut into squares and serve.
