Vegan Frosting

- 4 ounces vegan cream cheese look for brands that have a smooth texture
- 1 tablespoon vegan butter slightly softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar sifted if lumpy
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract for flavor enhancement
In your mixing bowl, combine the vegan cream cheese and vegan butter. Beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the pure vanilla extract and mix for another 30 seconds to fully incorporate.
Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low speed initially, then medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Adjust thickness by adding more powdered sugar as needed.
Taste your frosting and adjust sweetness or flavor by adding more powdered sugar or vanilla extract if desired.
Use a spatula or piping bag to frost your favorite desserts.
- Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- If using silken tofu instead of cream cheese, blend until smooth for a similar texture.
