Vegan Frosting

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces vegan cream cheese look for brands that have a smooth texture
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter slightly softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar sifted if lumpy
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract for flavor enhancement

Instructions
 

  • In your mixing bowl, combine the vegan cream cheese and vegan butter. Beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the pure vanilla extract and mix for another 30 seconds to fully incorporate.
  • Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low speed initially, then medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Adjust thickness by adding more powdered sugar as needed.
  • Taste your frosting and adjust sweetness or flavor by adding more powdered sugar or vanilla extract if desired.
  • Use a spatula or piping bag to frost your favorite desserts.

Notes

  • Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • If using silken tofu instead of cream cheese, blend until smooth for a similar texture.
  • For a stiffer frosting, gradually add more powdered sugar until desired consistency is reached.
