Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 1 each 4-pound whole chicken giblets and neck removed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Cooking Instructions:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Pat the chicken dry with paper towels for crispy skin.
  • Step 2: Make the Flavor Mixture - Mix butter, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bowl.
  • Step 3: Season the Chicken - Loosen the skin and rub half of the mixture under the skin, then spread the rest all over the chicken.
  • Step 4: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat to 360°F (182°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Step 5: Air Fry the Chicken - Cook breast side down for 30 minutes, flip, then cook for an additional 25-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Step 6: Rest and Serve - Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
