Ingredients
  

  • 4 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 26 ounces Nestle La Lechera dulce de leche caramel or a large jar of Nutella
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  • Step 3: Mix in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Step 4: Gradually add the all-purpose flour and stir until just combined.
  • Step 5: Portion the dough onto lined baking sheets.
  • Step 6: Create an indentation in each cookie dough ball and fill with dulce de leche.
  • Step 7: Sprinkle a pinch of coarse sea salt on top of each cookie.
  • Step 8: Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  • Step 9: Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze dough before baking for longer storage.
  • To reheat, microwave for a few seconds or bake at 350°F for 5 minutes.
